So while cruising the interwebs I came across this, for lack of a better word, “commercial” for myocarditis put out by New York Presbyterian Hospital in which we’re led to believe that myocarditis is no big deal. Here’s a question; what is the purpose of this ad? Notice they make no mention of myocarditis caused by a COVID vaccine. Just letting you know that if you get myocarditis, no biggie; couple days in the hospital, some drugs and some machines, and then viola, good as new. I’m 57 years old, have been in the healthcare business for almost 30 years, and have never seen or read anything like this concerning myocarditis before. Why now? Who is this video geared toward? It's a kid who sounds like she's talkng to other kids. Why is someone talking to my kid about myocarditis?
Also notice they use a little girl when it is actually young males roughly between 15 and 30 who are at the highest risk for myocarditis from the jab. Are they trying to get out their propaganda without drawing attention to a real problem? Do they not want to associate myocarditis with boys for some reason? And myocarditis in not “no big deal”. According to the Mayo Clinic website (my bold) “Myocarditis is inflammation of the heart muscle (myocardium). The inflammation can reduce the heart's ability to pump blood. Myocarditis can cause chest pain, shortness of breath, and rapid or irregular heart rhythms (arrhythmias)… Severe myocarditis weakens the heart so that the rest of the body doesn't get enough blood. Clots can form in the heart, leading to a stroke or heart attack.”
Let’s be clear, myocarditis is a BIG DEAL. It leaves your heart (or your son’s heart) PERMANENTLY SCARRED. To what extent is an individual determination but according to the Texas Heart Institute website “If too many heart muscle cells are damaged, the heart muscle becomes weakened. In some cases, this process happens very quickly and results in heart failure or even sudden death.” But even if it’s just “a little” scarring, you OK with that? Permanently damaging your child’s heart? If you listen to the little girl in the video she says the pills and machines "saved me". The tenor of the video certainly doesn't convey a seriousness in which the child needs to be "saved". Seems more like a grand adventure (pay attention to the music). Ask yourself in what other scenario you would ever even contemplate that type of risk to your kid? If I came up to you and asked "How about I stick this knife in your child's heart JUST A LITTLE BIT?" you OK with that.
So of course New York Presbyterian Hospital is being dishonest in this “infomercial” in portraying myocarditis like it’s having a wart removed, but the question still stands; WHY NOW? It would certainly appear the purpose is to downplay the “risk” of myocarditis so then everyone will “know” that if your son does get myocarditis as a result of the jab, don’t sweat it. What other possible reason could there be in trying to somehow “normalize” myocarditis which is a word probably 99% of Americans had never heard before last year. Is this just another avenue by which to “encourage” people to vaccinate their kids?
And let’s be crystal clear; after two and a half years of this “pandemic”, the CDC lists a total of about 7,800 people between newborn and 29 years old who have died from COVID. And that’s “All Deaths involving COVID-19” so the actual number of deaths due to COVID is much lower (if any). But even accepting that number as legitimate, that’s a fatality risk for this age group (where myocarditis from the vax is the most probable) since the beginning of COVID of about 0.007% or seven one-thousandths of one percent. Several studies have shown the risk of myocarditis from the vax is at least as much, and in some cases significantly more that of natural infection so you need to ask yourself is it worth the risk.
But first ask yourself, why this commercial now?
