So in case you missed this last week (and to be honest, none of us should be paying any attention at all to the COVID nonsense anymore – I do it because I’m lonely and have petted all the hair off my cat so I got time on my hands), the FDA last week announced in a news release that (my bold) “Today, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration amended the emergency use authorizations (EUAs) of the Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine, Bivalent and the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine, Bivalent to authorize their use as a single booster dose in younger age groups…Bivalent is authorized for administration at least two months following completion of primary or booster vaccination in children down to five years of age.”

Couple things. First, where EXACTLY is the “emergency” that would support an “emergency use authorization” for kids 5 to 11? In more than two and a half years, by the CDC’s own data, there have been 936 deaths in kids aged 5-18 (I can’t find any more granular data). Since half that age range (12 -18) is beyond the 5-11 kids, let’s say half those deaths (about 468) would be in the 5-11 kids. There are roughly 25,000,000 kids in that age range which gives your kid in that age range a risk of dying from COVID of about 0.002% or two one-thousandths of one percent; again, after two and a half years. If that’s what we now consider an “emergency” we are surely doomed. And realize, as your kid hits age 12, that risk would actually go down slightly for the next seven years due to a slightly larger population. Also, hey remember when the boosters were first six months after your initial shots, then five months, then three months, now two months. Soon it will just be more efficient to move into your local vaccine center instead of schlepping back and forth. Somebody smart once warned about the “vax of the month club”. Crackpot!

“The mRNA in these vaccines is a specific piece of genetic material that instructs cells in the body to make the distinctive “spike” protein of the original virus strain and the omicron variant lineages BA.4 and BA.5.” If you’re hesitant to feed your kids genetically modified foods (and you should be), how do you feel about your beautiful child being forced (or “instructed” if that makes you feel better) through modern biotechnology to produce not one, but TWO “spike” proteins heretofore only produced by a virus. Is your kid (or are you for that matter) a virus? No? Then tell me EXACTLY on what basis one would consider this safe for a human child? What evidence do we have that this is “safe” long term? What’s that you say? Absolutely none? OK, just checking.

Now if you’ve been playing in my sandbox for some time, you may have read my post on the “Bivalent” being authorized to begin with on the strength of experimenting on EIGHT MICE. No humans, just eight mice. And of course, when it comes to our kids, the most precious component of any civilized society, you would expect something more rigorous; say ten mice this time. But alas, you would be wrong: “Bivalent for individuals 5 through 11 years of age is based in part on the FDA’s previous analysis of immune response and safety data from a clinical study in adults greater than 55 years of age who received a booster dose of a Pfizer-BioNTech’s investigational bivalent COVID-19 vaccine that contained a component of the original strain of SARS-CoV-2 and a component of Omicron lineage BA.1.” I’m 57 years old, stand 5’11” tall and weigh about 220 lbs (and yes, it is mostly muscle); how EXACTLY does my “immune response” to a concoction containing a different strain than what’s actually in the current “Bivalent” now being injected into kids’ arms translate into some kind of protection against infection or serious illness (which again, doesn’t happen anyway) for a 50 pound seven-year-old? Well the answer is we have no idea. Those studies have never been done; cool. Hey, maybe Tiny Tony or Shufflin’ Joe can explain why the FDA didn’t even convene their own Vaccines and Related Biological Products Advisory Committee to review this decision. You know, the same FDA where both the director and deputy director of the FDA’s Office of Vaccines Research and Review resigned because of the pressure the White House was exerting on them to approve these vaccines? Yeah, that FDA. Oh well, moving on…

And by the way, if for some reason you wanted to give your kid this new “booster”, you’d have to give him the initial two doses first. Why would that be? If the new booster contains the same original strain in the initial “two-shot” regimen, and now is new and improved because it also contains the Omicron variant, why isn’t that enough? The original strain is long since extinct and Omicron is now king of the hill, so why does Junior need those first two jabs? Asking for a friend.

And contrary to the CDC’s propaganda that “FDA’s authorization of updated (bivalent) COVID-19 vaccines for this younger age group, and CDC’s recommendation for use, are critical next steps forward in our country’s vaccination program—a program that has helped provide increased protection against severe COVID-19 disease and death” may I remind you once more, as your child’s risk of serious interaction with COVID is statistically ZERO, and you cannot, by the very laws of mathematics improve on a risk of ZERO, what EXACTLY is the rationale to pump more of this garbage into your kid? Hey remember when we had to vax Junior to “protect” Grandma but then the whole “get vaxxed to protect others” thing was shown to be complete horse shit? Good times.

Keep trusting those experts.
