So you may remember about six weeks ago I posted a piece entitled “COVID - IS FLORIDA BECOMING A “DEATH CULT?” This was in allusion to one of the more prominent elitist know-it-all idiots in the mainstream media, Mika Brzezinski, being celebrated by her equally moronic comrades for attacking the southern states, and specifically Florida, for being infected with the “DeSantis Variant” which caused the people of Florida to join a “death cult”. Well, as is very often the case with these intellectual wizards, it was nigh a few short days after her rant that Florida’s case count peaked and began to decline as precipitously as it had risen. Below you can see a graph of Florida’s daily cases and here I will present some numbers (some might even call SCIENCE AND DATA) to accompany said picture.
7/1 – Cases begin to rise (2,142 cases reported)
8/9 – Mika rants
8/17 – Over 6 weeks cases have exploded by 915% and peak (21,754 cases reported)
9/29 – Over the next 6 weeks cases drop by 73% (5,875 cases reported)
Now remember, this is in Florida, which has been a wide open state since last September and where school started about 8/10 (a week before the peak) with about half the school systems having no functional mask mandates. So what the hell happened here? While Mika was chastising the anti-vaxxers, death-culters, flat-earthers, and other degenerates who were obviously too busy hoarding “horse goo” to heed her heartfelt warning, the virus decided it had had its fill of stupid people and began to retreat back to whence it came. How do you explain this? Did the ‘rona virus feel badly for making Mika so upset (she cried you know)? I thought this virus was going to kill us all? Why would the virus just stop its march to the sea? Oh wait, I know, it was that “increase in vaccination” in the South we heard all about (even Joe Biden told us about it) as those unsophisticated morons realized the error of their ways and started lining up for the jab. That’s gotta be it. Yeah, definitely that’s gotta be it. Let me prove it to you by what the actual data has to say about that. We’ll use the same dates as above.
7/1 – A meager 46% vaccine coverage in Florida (idiots)
8/17 – Under the panic of the DeSantis Variant siege, coverage rockets up to 51%
9/29 – The Death Cult survives the ‘rona onslaught with a patriotic 57% coverage
Hey wait a minute. So with just 51% of the population fully vaccinated on 8/17, the virus peaks, cries “uncle” and begins to skulk away? That can’t be right. Just 51%? I don’t understand. We’ve been told in no uncertain terms that at least 90% (well, first 70%, then 80%-85%, now even 97% - 98%) was needed to subdue the extinction-level-event known as the Delta variant. What EXACTLY gives here? I would very much appreciate an answer please. Mika? Sexiest Man Alive Finalist? Whispering Joe? Anybody??
Well actually, I have a suggestion and alluded to it in my Mika piece of 8/16: “First, this elitist, smarter-than-everybody-in-the-room, hysterical moron clearly has no understanding of the seasonal variation of the virus’s activity (although Anthony Fauci doesn’t seem to have a grasp on it either).”
The really funny thing is there are still so many people out there who actually believe we can “control” or better yet, “defeat” this virus by wearing a silly mask, hiding under your bed, or even injecting yourself blindly with what the “experts” tell you is your only way to freedom. Or maybe that’s sad, or pathetic, not sure…
So just like it had done three or four times before (without vaccines) in Florida (and everywhere else on the planet every time), cases went up, and cases came down. This time, they peaked with a paltry 51% vaccine coverage, which could not possibly be responsible for the peak and drop in cases. Now I’m not saying vaccines don’t have some protective effect (although whatever it is it appears to be diminishing day by day), and if you’re over 65 and in poor health (as most Americans are) it’s probably a good idea to get the vax, but looking at these numbers from Florida, one must wonder if the narrative we have been fed about the danger of the virus to mankind and the absolute necessity of the vaccine (to the point of forcing people to choose between the jab or the ability to feed their kids) is right.
In case you’re interested, Florida’s fatality count followed the case count very closely.
Deaths peaked around 9/2 with about 364 deaths (that’s a whopping population fatality rate peak of 0.002% or two one-thousandths of one percent) and has since dropped steadily to just 13 on 9/29 (fatality rate of 0.00006% or six one hundred-thousandths of one percent). That’s a 96% drop in four weeks!! Remember again, that throughout this entire most recent spike, vaccination coverage increased from 46% (7/1) to only 57% (9/29) and was only at 51% when deaths peaked on 8/2. How do you explain that?
One more time, I’m not suggesting you don’t get vaccinated (unless you’re a child, then I am strongly suggesting you think twice, or three times). As always, you do you. But I am asking you to look at the actual SCIENCE AND DATA and use whatever functional rationality you have left, and ask yourself if what you believe you “know” about this pandemic is actually true. For those who have a homemade altar to the great and powerful Fauci, complete with Fauci prayer candle and Fauci bobble-head doll (yes those are apparently real things); who are demonizing their friends and neighbors because they “know” the vaccine is the only way to salvation (from a disease which will significantly affect, at the outer limits, maybe one percent of the population), maybe you want to think about slowing it down there a little cowboy. Maybe, just maybe, what you believe you think you “know” isn’t really the whole truth. Or any truth at all.
