So as I’m sure you’re well aware, we’re all gonna die from the double extra evil Delta variant of the coronavirus, and if not from Delta, then Lambda or Mu or whatever boogeyman might be next. As you also know, here in America we have been told in no uncertain terms that this is now a “Pandemic of the unvaccinated” due to those “anti-vaxxers”; mainly stupid, white, gun-loving, toothless Southerners who have fallen prey to the “DeSantis Variant”, and as such have entered into a “Death Cult” which will most certainly be the end of the South (and perhaps the Nation) as we know it. So says one of the dumbest people to ever grace your television screen (Mika Brzezinski) and her acolytes. But very quietly, and without any notice from the mainstream media, things have taken some interesting turns in the aforementioned “Death Cult” states.
You may remember about five weeks ago (7/26) I “predicted” the case counts, which were “skyrocketing” in the South would peak and then begin to descend in about “two weeks or so”. Hey, why not get into the prognostication game – everybody’s doing it. Well, it appears I was off by about 10 days to two weeks depending on how much latitude you give to the “or so” part of my little Carnac routine (shout out Johnny Carson) and which state you look at. I was, by the way, WAY more accurate than anything you’ve heard from the really smart people who really care about you who’ve been insisting you stay firmly under your bed for the past 18 months because they say so and they are after all really smart and they really care so you should really listen to them.
If you look at the graph of Alabama below you’ll see what I’m talking about. Now remember, Alabama is last (or next to last depending on which data you’re looking at) in vaccination rate (at a meager 39.5%) and is therefore clearly the dumbest state in the county, so they obviously deserve what they get according to many who are really sophisticated and who really care about you. But let’s see.
As you can see, Alabama’s “case” count peaked around August 26th (about two weeks later than my prediction) at 4,453 and then turned downward to 2,571 as of September 8th. That’s a drop of 42% in about 10 days. What happened there? We were clearly told this is a pandemic of the unvaccinated, Alabama is largely unvaccinated, yet the “case” count went up, and then it came down. Why didn’t the ‘rona continue to “ravage” the ‘Bama countryside like a hoard of Vikings on spring break?
And as to the “Death Cult”:
Over the last three or four weeks Alabama has suffered about 30 deaths a day subsequent to the preceding rise in “cases”. That’s a population fatality rate of about 0.0006% or six ten-thousandths of one percent. Over the entirety of this latest “spike” in cases (since say July 1st) Alabama has added about 1,136 deaths over more than two months. That means Alabama has lost about two one-hundredths of one percent of their population during that time. I am by no means trying to minimize the tragedy of each and every one of those losses to the people to whom that person was important, but a “Death Cult” these numbers do not make.
If you think Alabama is some kind of fluke, look at Mississippi which is neck and neck with Alabama as the dumbest state in the country with a vaccination rate of only about 39.6%. Their data looks like this:
Again, notice their “cases” peaked around August 22nd (about two weeks later than my prediction) and the subsequent 37% drop over the last three weeks. Also, their fatality rate over the last three weeks (which is of course a product of the “surge” in “cases”) stands at about 0.001%, or one one-thousandth of one percent.
The same basic metrics apply to Florida (from which the “DeSantis Variant emerged) which has a higher vaccination rate but also a larger, more populous state. Their cases peaked around August 15th (pretty much to the day of my prediction!) and have dropped about 30% since then and their fatality count has dropped more than 90% in about the last two weeks.
So my title question remains: How EXACTLY do you explain this? How do states with such a selfishly, irresponsibly small percentage of vaccinated citizens survive the onslaught of the virus to end all viruses? Why EXACTLY did the virus, in such a target rich, fertile environment of unvaccinated rubes (some 3.2 million unvaccinated people in Alabama alone) not continue to infect and kill more and more people? In Alabama, the daily "case" count topped out at about 4,500 cases with a total of about 700,000 cases out of a total of five million people. What happened? If this virus is SO contagious and SO deadly, how do you explain anyone still alive anywhere? We dealt with coronavirus for the better part of a year without vaccines and there are millions of Americans who did not mask up and hide under their bed ever and yet 99.9% of them are still with us (apparently much to the chagrin of a certain segment of our population). Did the virus just begin to feel sorry for all those dumb people and decide to call the mercy rule? And why is that question silly? Why is it OK to constantly be told by CNN and other PANIC PORNERS that “This virus is REALLY GOING for the people who are not vaccinated” like the virus actually has the ability to “target” certain groups (conveniently now the "young" group who are not quite yet “eligible” for the vaccine, but just hold on, it’s coming) yet my assertion that the virus would feel bad for the easy pickins’ of dumb Southerners is somehow a stupider thought than CNN’s? How does that work? Just for clarification for those who don’t get my point, of course my assertion that the virus felt bad for the dumb people is ridiculous, but so is what you read and hear every day about the virus “targeting” or “going after” a particular group. It’s called PANIC PORN and you should be ever-vigilant of the language used as you filter the information you ingest. It’s meant to push a particular narrative and scare you into doing what some people want you to do. Pay attention.
Or better yet, stop paying attention altogether. Stop listening to the “experts” and talking heads. They don’t know what they’re talking about and they certainly do not have your best interests at heart. If you live in the northeast you should be prepared for your turn with the Delta variant coming soon. And be prepared for re-institution of useless mask mandates and lockdowns. But before you start washing your mail again, please try to remember, you’re being lied to every day, all the time. Yes, coronavirus is real, but it is NOWHERE NEAR as dangerous as it has been made out to be. And if you’re one of those people gullible enough to actually believe we can “control” this virus, get a grip. We cannot. You’re much better off eating better and exercising regularly to improve your own innate immunity than you are wearing a mask or even taking a vaccine. But as always, you do you.
