SAY, WHATEVER HAPPENED TO THOSE "NEANDERTHALS"?

10/1/21

So you may remember back on May 5th I posted a piece entitled “NEANDERTHALS 1, ‘EXPERTS’ 0”. This was a review of the early March announcements by the governors of Texas and Mississippi that they would eliminate mask mandates and fully reopen their economies, and the ensuing fully-to-be-expected PANIC PORN response from our overlords and “expert” ruling class. A quick review (as always my caps for emphasis):

Joe Biden: “The last thing -- the last thing we need is NEANDERTHAL THINKING that in the meantime, everything's fine, take off your mask, forget it. It still matters.”

Anthony Fauci: “Withdrawing mask mandates is really QUITE RISKY…That’s a DANGEROUS SIGN because when that has happened in the past, when you pull back on measures of public health, INVARIABLY you’ve seen a surge back up…”

Jen Psaki: “This entire country has paid the price for political leaders who IGNORED THE SCIENCE when it comes to the pandemic.”

Rochelle Wallensky: ‘We stand to COMPLETELY LOSE THE HARD EARNED GROUND we have gained…NOW IS NOT THE TIME to relax the critical safeguards that WE KNOW can stop the spread of COVID-19 in our communities, not when we are so close.”

And so on and so forth. The mainstream media was, of course, in lock step in demonizing these stupid Southerners who had the temerity to believe American citizens "deserved" their freedoms back. In my May 5th piece I showed you the graphs of new cases in Texas and Mississippi two months after the Neanderthals removed the safeguards that “WE KNOW” can stop the ‘rona and I asked someone to explain what happened. Alas, no one did. There was no explosion of cases. There were no increases in cases at all but, in fact, a slow and steady decline in cases over the next four months until the normal seasonal case increase in mid-summer. I showed you how, when asked in early April (a month after the Neanderthal freedom gambit), why their dire predictions didn’t come true, the idiot Fauci sputtered "It can be CONFUSING, because you may see a LAG AND DELAY because often you have to wait a few weeks before you see the effect of what you’re doing right now… I’M NOT REALLY QUITE SURE.  It could be they’re doing things outdoors ... You just have to see in the LONG-RANGE." Genius then, and genius now. If the “I’M NOT REALLY QUITE SURE” answer sounds familiar, that’s because it’s essentially the same answer he recently gave when questioned as to why he is still insisting previously infected people get vaccinated in the face of data showing it to be unnecessary. And this is the guy we’re listening to?!?

As to his assertion that we’ll “just have to see LONG-RANGE” well, now we can see:

texas cases

On March 1st Texas recorded 7,193 “cases”. The Neanderthal maneuver goes into effect and about a month later on April 6th, cases had dropped to 2,908 which is a 60% reduction. This is when Fauci, almost hopeful that things would go wrong, implored us to just wait and see. Well, as you CAN SEE, cases continue to decline to a low of 1,249 on July 1st. That’s a drop in daily cases, since we were told how stupid and dangerous this move was, of about 83%. Mississippi’s graph is essentially identical. How do you explain this?

So, there was no “lag and delay” in the arrival of what appeared to be a hoped-for case explosion. There were no “long-range” consequences either. And let me help Anthony out. It’s really not that “CONFUSING”. You were just wrong. You’re assertion that we had “INVARIABLY” seen “surges” back up after relaxing mitigation measures was and is a data-driven, provable lie. Just like you and the rest of the “experts” have been wrong pretty much every single time. It’s really quite simple, actually. Go back up and re-read those statements by those four government idiots. At the time, of course, a certain part of our population "knew" everyone would die in Texas and Mississippi because ALL the experts and talking heads had told them so. How could so many really smart people who really care for your well-being have been so wrong?

My further question is, how come no reporters have confronted Fauci and Biden and the rest of the Fat Albert Gang with this data and held them to account for spreading PANIC PORN again and being wrong…again? There is no wiggle room here, by the way. No room for Fauci-esque equivocation. The actual data is crystal clear. NOTHING bad happened when Texas and Mississippi reopened. But a silly question, I know. The answer of course is because the mainstream media is quite obviously in league with the "experts" to continue to propagate a certain narrative every day, all the time. If you think that's the stuff of conspiracy theorists, then please explain to me why I'm the only one asking the question. It's a simple question, should be a simple answer. The answers seem to be A: We can't have Fauci being wrong and let the people see that the Emperor has no clothes. And B: We can't let people see that the mask mandates and lockdowns have no effect on the spread of the virus (which I have already shown you through the data innumerable times). So if I'm wrong, somebody please enlighten me.

The take-home message? STOP LISTENING TO THE “EXPERTS” AND TALKING HEADS. They are idiots and liars all, and they do not have our best interests at heart.
