So here’s an interesting graphic drawn from data produced not by QAnon, or Orange Man Bad, or even Elon Musk, but by the The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development which is “…an intergovernmental organisation with 38 member countries, founded in 1961 to stimulate economic progress and world trade.” Hat tip to Joel Smalley on Substack.
Just wondering how any of you true-believing, expert-trusting, science-following types explain this:
It turns out Sweden’s cumulative excess death percentage is the lowest on this list. Who'da thunk it? They did even better than the other Nordic countries which the liar Fauci and other authoritarian know-it-alls kept telling you they were doing much worse than because they weren't "following the science". They did effectively NOTHING to attempt to mitigate the virus that shall not be named; no lock downs, no mask mandates, no social distancing, no vaccine mandates, nobody fired for not obeying their overlords. They simply followed the World Health Organization’s 2019 pandemic guidelines. And yet Sweden did better than everybody else. And excess deaths are a much more accurate metric for determining the success or failure of a country’s COVID folly vs. COVID deaths alone. In fact, a COVID death of a 78 grandma is less tragic or costly to a society than the suicide or accidental drug overdose of a teenager or twenty-something who's been damaged due to being shut out of school or isolated at home. Sorry if that offends.
Just wondering how anybody would explain this. Tiny Tony? Dingbat Rochelle? Bumblin’ Stumblin’ Joe? How about Rachel Maddow or Mika Brzezinski? No? Nobody? I’ll be here waiting for an explanation.
Ah, maybe we should just give them all amnesty. After all, they were in the dark and just didn’t know what they were doing. Discuss amongst yourselves.
