So as you may remember back on March 3rd, the President of the United States characterized the announced decisions by the governors of Texas and Mississippi to eliminate their mask mandates and “allow” businesses to reopen fully as “Neanderthal thinking” saying “The last thing -- the last thing we need is Neanderthal thinking that in the meantime, everything's fine, take off your mask, forget it. It still matters.” Lord and Master Anthony Fauci (he’s the Director of the U.S. National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases in case you didn’t know) chimed in with his most sovereign and measured thoughts saying things like (from Forbes reporting, bracketed comments and caps mine):
“Withdrawing mask mandates ‘is really quite risky,’ [And citing his magical “plateau” fear-mongering which I have pointed out previously is complete nonsense] ‘That’s a dangerous sign because when that has happened in the past, when you pull back on measures of public health, INVARIABLY you’ve seen a surge back up,’ [That’s a lie] He said the only safe way to pull back public health measures is to wait until the level of community spread drops to ‘REMARKABLY LOW’ figures [What exactly would those figures be? He NEVER actually says. And what DID happened to “two weeks to flatten the curve”?]…Fauci is the latest in a string of officials to slam Texas Gov. Greg Abbott and Mississippi Gov. Tate Reeves after the Republicans announced Tuesday they would rescind m…and White House press secretary Jen Psaki said ‘This entire country has for political leaders who IGNORED THE SCIENCE when it comes to the pandemic.’ [Is it possible to show us the data to support that assertion? Oh wait, there isn’t any because it’s not true.] Other health officials warned against reopening this week, with U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Director Dr. Rochelle Wallensky saying Monday she is ‘REALLY WORRIED’ about new virus variants: ‘We stand to COMPLETELY LOSE THE HARD EARNED GROUND we have gained’ Walensky said. ‘NOW IS NOT THE TIME to relax the critical safeguards that WE KNOW can stop the spread of COVID-19 in our communities, not when we are so close.’” [Say, when exactly would be “the time”? And exactly what “safeguards” do we “know” can stop the spread of COVID? As I have demonstrated in great detail, neither masks nor lockdowns made a spit’s worth of difference in this ocean of insanity.]
But there you have it. The collective brain power of the greatest minds the world has ever known has spoken. Case closed. But wait, something funny happened on the way to the graveyard:
Boy that’s gotta hurt. Joe and Tony and the rest of the Fat Albert Gang might want to take a standing eight count on that one. I guess those reckless and incalculably stupid Neanderthals obviously didn’t (probably actually couldn’t) read the condemnations and warnings of our overlords. Stupid Neanderthals! Anyway, about a month after said condemnations and warnings (April 6th), when asked how he explains the “apparent” successes in Texas and Mississippi, Smartest Man in the World Fauci produced these gems: "It can be confusing, because you may see a lag and a delay because often you have to wait a few weeks before you see the effect of what you’re doing right now… I’m not really quite sure. It could be they’re doing things outdoors ... You just have to see in the long-range." OK, first of all…what now? Second, no absolutely not! If you remember back to the end of 2020 we were told with complete certitude that we could not gather with friends and family for Christmas and New Year’s because we would suffer a “surge on a surge” referring to the “surge” in cases after Thanksgiving. One, that “surge” or any other “surge” for that matter, never happened. I have shown you that previously with you know, math. Two, it was only two weeks after Thanksgiving that we were being warned about this coming “double surge” (that never happened). How come during the holidays we “saw” this horrific increase in cases (which never happened) within just two weeks after Thanksgiving (the “surge” upon which the impending Christmas “surge” would build), but now after a month of being open in Texas and Mississippi we just have to see “long-range”? Bueller? Bueller?
And before someone shouts “VACCINES!” let me put that one to rest. First, while vaccines might have some small effect on these numbers (more so in just the last month), they could not possibly be responsible for what we see in Texas and Mississippi as there simply weren’t enough vaccinated people in the proper timeframe to account for any significant portion of the observed sustained low number of cases. Second, during this very same timeframe we saw cases go up in places like New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Michigan, and Illinois. You know, where all the smart “science-followers” live. They all had the same vaccines at the same time as Texas and Mississippi, and the smart people were actually sticking the needles in their arms and injecting the magic elixir while the Neanderthals were probably just sniffing the syringes and trying to bite them. AND the smart people were still largely locked down and masked up, yet their numbers went up. How do you explain that?
The point is, as I have been telling you for months and months, the people we have been genuflecting to for the last year have no idea what they’re talking about. Never have. I know for many of you that’s an impossible pill to swallow and therefore I must be dismissed as a stupid, selfish, science-denying grandma-killer, but look back on everything you were told “would” happen if we didn’t do exactly as we were ordered and see how much of it actually played out the way the “experts” said it would. Pretty much none of it. And notice now a month after Fauci’s blatherings of early April on Texas and Mississippi nobody has asked him again “So what’s the deal Tony? How do explain Texas and Mississippi now?” You know why you haven’t heard that question? Because the answer would have to be “I have no idea. I guess I was wrong.” And that we cannot have…
