MINDFULNESS FOR TEACHERS
We understand that teachers/faculty are an extremely important part of our children's lives. Their influence can be felt for a lifetime. It is our belief that in supporting our teachers by educating them in Mindful Practice, we are able assist in creating a calm, collaborative, focused classroom environment.

ADULT MINDFULNESS CLASSES
Our wonderful world can present more than a few stressors which many times, are unavoidable. At Springfield Holistic Wellness, we understand that it is not the stressors that wreak havoc in our lives, it is our response to them. The Mindfulness Program for Adults will give you the tools to not only decrease stress, but also change your brain structure enabling you to handle whatever life throws your way, with grace and self-compassion.
MINDFULNESS CLASSES FOR CHILDREN/TEENS
Teens face a great deal of stress in life. The constant assault on their nervous systems can sometimes result in a "quick fix" to feel better. Many turn to drugs, alcohol or other risk taking behaviors. Mindfulness practice introduces a foundation for self regulation, self compassion and a sense of control over their mind and body when everything else seems to be out of control. Mindfulness practice has been shown to effect the "conductor" of the brain, the prefrontal cortex by adding grey matter. This change in brain structure can assist teens to stop, pause and weigh the effect of their decisions before acting. They learn to trust their judgment and gain self confidence.
PRIVATE MINDFULNESS PROGRAMS
We offer private custom mindfulness programs for individuals or families.
Sessions can be in person (covid precautions) or online, or a combination of both.
Mindfulness for Families
We are happy to announce that we are now offering private mindfulness programs for individuals and families in person, or online.
Mindfulness is quickly becoming known as an antidote to our always-on, constantly connected to technology, multi-tasking, distracted, and sleep deprived way of life that can erode focus, attention and awareness (and our relationships).
We spend a lot of time developing our intelligence and strengthening our bodies in sports or exercise, but we give our mind very little attention. Mindfulness can help develop and strengthen our mind while increasing our ability to focus, recognize and manage our emotions, make better decisions, and empathize in our relationships.
Our emotions are continually changing. Difficult emotions like anger, fear, worry and stress actually release chemicals in our brain that prevent us from learning, and can make us react and say and do things we didn't want to. Mindfulness helps to stop these chemicals.
