SCIENCE AND DATA ALERT!
WHAT THE HELL ARE WE DOING?
So I’ve reviewed these numbers before but as the PANIC PORN continues to inexorably increase, I thought it was time to update some numbers to put things in a true perspective.
Right now worldwide 99.5% of all “cases” are considered mild.
Right now in the US we have a recorded 291,000 COVID deaths. Now we know that some amount of these deaths are not COVID deaths but I’ll use the maximum numbers we all can easily access from the cdc.gov website to avoid any arguments.
US population fatality rate: 0.09 (nine one-hundredths of one percent).
Your chance of not dying from coronavirus: 99.9%
So what the hell are we doing?
Population fatality rate for people under 25: 0.0005 (five ten-thousandths of one percent).
If you’re under age 25 your chance of not dying from COVID: 99.9995%
So why isn’t every kid in school full time? What the hell are we doing?
Population fatality rate for people between 25 and 65: 0.03 (three one-hundredths of one percent).
If you’re between ages 25 and 65 your chance of not dying from COVID: 99.97%
So why isn’t everybody between the ages of 25 and 65 living a completely normal life if they want to? What the hell are we doing?
Population fatality rate for people over 65: 0.4 (four-tenths of one percent).
If you’re over age 65 your chance of not dying from COVID: 99.6%
However, if you remove the people who died in nursing homes (not because they don’t “count” but because they live an unnatural existence), the population fatality rate for people over 65 who live in the wild so to speak is about 0.2 (two-tenths of one percent).
If you’re over age 65 and not living in nursing homes your chance of not dying from COVID: 99.8%
We’ve been told over and over again how we’re doing so much of this nonsense to protect Grandma meanwhile our kids aren’t learning, mental illness is exploding, (a recent CDC report shows 31% of Americans reported anxiety or depression symptoms, 13% started or increased substance abuse, 26% reported trauma or stress-related disorder symptoms, and 11% say they seriously considered suicide), millions of people are losing everything, millions of people are going hungry, civil liberties are being trampled, friends and family turning against each other because of a stupid mask, and the consequences of our actions will be felt for years and perhaps generations to come. All in the name of “stopping” a virus you cannot stop, in an attempt to protect far less that one half of one percent of the population (many of whom would have died this year in any event). So what the hell are we doing?
