SCIENCE AND DATA ALERT!
JUST TO PUT A BOW ON IT.
First, here’s a graph of Daily New Cases in the United States (you know it’s legit cause it says so right on the graph). Remove your PANIC PORN glasses and absorb and process what your eyes are actually seeing. OK? Let’s proceed.
Here’s how that graph breaks down in terms of the math (some might even say the SCIENCE AND DATA) of the growth of the daily new cases over the last two months:
Notice anything? In the two-week period after Thanksgiving (11/27-12/10), the celebrating of which with people we love was supposed to kill us all, the growth of the daily new cases slowed by about 10% from the two-week period before Thanksgiving. In the two-week period following that (12/11-12/24) when you would expect to see the effects of the “POST THANKSGIVING SURGE”, the growth of the daily cases slowed again, this time about 5%. What happened to the POST THANKSGIVING SURGE?? We were told, nay warned, nay promised a terrible surge in “cases” (btw, positive test not a “case”) if we dared to eat dinner with other people on Thanksgiving like normal, non-hysterical people do. And then we were told in the weeks after Thanksgiving that the “surge was here”. And we’re still being told that. Where is it?
We were told, nay warned, nay promised by Joe Biden on December 2, 2020 that another 250,000 Americans would be DEAD (his emphasis) from COVID by the end of the month. Well, today is the end of the month and to date since December 2nd we have suffered, as of December 30, 2020 about 71,000 deaths (standard disclaimer – of course tragic). But 71,000 is not 250,000. Even I, who can barely read and do the four basic math functions, can figure out 71,000 is in fact less than 250,000. By a lot. Or put another way, Joe’s dire prediction, as earnest as it was, (“ya hear me?”) was an exaggeration of more than three times the actual number. And this is after the “POST THANKSGIVING SURGE”. What the hell happened? Where are the deaths? What happened to the “facts” Joe Biden told us he was basing his warning on? Is anybody going to hold him and his PANIC PORN buddies who feed him this hysteria to account for this sort of thing? Silly question.
Now ole’ Joe is telling us (on December 29th) “…but we need to be honest, the next few weeks and months are going to be VERY tough, very tough period for our nation. Maybe the toughest during this entire pandemic. I know it’s hard to hear, but it’s the truth…we need to steel our spines for what’s ahead. We need to follow more closely the recommendations to slow the spread of the virus…First, things are gonna get worse before they get better…We’re averaging daily death rates of nearly 2,200 people…and that’s data BEFORE we see the impact of the cases coming from the recent holidays…people getting infected today don’t show up in cases for weeks…so we have to anticipate that the infections over the holidays will produce soaring cases (sic) counts…”
But Joe said the same thing at the last Presidential debate back on October 22nd. Remember he told us, very sincerely “the next six to twelve weeks would be the darkest of the entire pandemic”. That was 10 weeks ago. They should be over right about now. But apparently those toughest, darkest weeks are STILL ahead of us? They’re still gonna get WORSE before they get better? Joe says it’s the truth, so I guess it is. But I thought his October 22nd proclamation and his December 2nd proclamation were the truth. Does anybody understand the meaning of the word “truth”? And we need to follow MORE CLOSELY the recommendations (cute word for “orders”) to slow the virus??? The virus we haven’t been able to slow no matter how much ridiculous, hysterical nonsense we throw at it? As I said back in April, believing you can mitigate the spread of this virus is both arrogant and foolhardy. Interestingly, Joe says we’re losing nearly 2,200 people a day, yet just about a week ago, Joe told us we were losing nearly 3,000 people a day. When he said that, we were losing about 2,500 a day, not nearly 3,000. I guess someone corrected him. But he does qualify that tidbit with telling us that data is BEFORE the impact of the “SURGE ON A SURGE” (shout out Fauci). He does get it right when he says people getting infected today won’t show up in the data weeks, but it’s about two weeks, not more. This is the first time you’ve heard that from Joe, and the reason is because what he’s trying to get you to believe is that even though your very own eyes tell you there was no “POST THANKSGIVING SURGE” by looking at the SCIENCE AND DATA in the graph above, you should NOT believe your own eyes and you should “anticipate that the infections over the holidays will produce soaring cases (sic) counts…” That is, you must continue to be in compliance, so get back under your bed.
One last thing. Notice how on the graph above, the growth in daily new cases has peaked and is heading down, which is an entirely natural phenomenon. This, in spite of Killer Thanksgiving. I did not anticipate this peak for another few weeks, but that is in fact what is happening (did I mention this type of curve is completely normal for a seasonal respiratory virus?). So why isn’t the message: “Good news, it appears the worst is over!” Because from all the SCIENCE AND DATA we have, that should be the message. Could the curve turn back up? Sure. But it certainly won’t be because of Thanksgiving. That is a FACT proven by the graph above. Could we all die from Christmas and New Year’s Eve? Possibly. But there is no SCIENCE AND DATA to support that prediction at this time. Ironically enough, Joe’s October 22nd prediction may actually prove right. And that would be a great thing. But maybe it doesn’t fit a certain narrative, what do I know?
Perhaps for our New Year’s resolutions we should all resolve to stop listening to our “expert” ruling class, to crawl out from under our beds, and start living our lives again. Enough is enough. And by the way, if you think the vaccine is your savior, maybe not so much. Happy New Year.
