MINDFULNESS IN SCHOOLS/INSTITUTIONS
DISTRICT IMPLEMENTATION OF MINDFULNESS PROGRAM
Basic Program Package Details Include:
$1600 Introductory Rate each school in district (subject to change after 2019)
1 classroom of instruction for 8 weeks
(meeting for 30 minutes one time a week for 8 weeks) Each additional classroom of instruction add $200
Mindfulness work book
Classroom teacher manual
Three additional 30 minute teacher and staff trainings
(pre program, during program, end of program) to support classroom teachers after mindfulness instructor completes the 8 weeks.
One additional 1 hr parent training45-minute presentation for staff includes:
- Definition and background of mindfulness
- Summary of the work of Mindful Schools
- Benefits seen in children and adolescents
- Demonstration of some of the lessons we do with the kids so the adults get an experiential understanding of mindfulness
- Description of program and what it looks like in the classroom
Content is secular (non religious) and age appropriate.

We understand that teachers/faculty are an extremely important part of our children's lives. Their influence can be felt for a lifetime. It is our belief that in supporting our teachers by educating them in Mindful Practice, we are able assist in creating a calm, collaborative, focused classroom environment.

ADULT MINDFULNESS CLASSES

MINDFULNESS CLASSES FOR CHILDREN/TEENS
Teens face a great deal of stress in life. The constant assault on their nervous systems can sometimes result in a "quick fix" to feel better. Many turn to drugs, alcohol or other risk taking behaviors. Mindfulness practice introduces a foundation for self regulation, self compassion and a sense of control over their mind and body when everything else seems to be out of control. Mindfulness practice has been shown to effect the "conductor" of the brain, the prefrontal cortex by adding grey matter. This change in brain structure can assist teens to stop, pause and weigh the effect of their decisions before acting. They learn to trust their judgment and gain self confidence.
